preliminary notes:
1. shit's going to take forever to load, i'm afraid. i suggest you leave the window open, let it brew, and in the meantime pace around your house or apartment nervously.
2. i did not take many of these pictures. big deal.
3. on second thought, i decided against lovingly annotating the pictures. instead, a brief guide: the beginning gives a disproportionally long report of our trip to berlin and other places; somewhere in the middle is our trip to prague; and the last half shows where we lived in weimar and jena. of particular note is the picture of me with my host parents and the picture of the cardboard cutout of the baker who looks almost exactly like george w.

i forgot to say that i am in jena, germany for the summer. we got here circa one week ago, and already i have had a knife pulled on me by a skinhead. other than that, it is the best place in the world. i just remembered about livejournal, so maybe when i have more time i will update once in a while. emails are so appreciated it's downright ridiculous.
